I like to celebrate the small joys of life. Mostly by sitting on my kiester and doing nothing. Which is the same thing I do when I'm not celebrating the small joys of life.
I digress, but a question just popped into my head. "What is the opposite of celebrating?" The first thing I thought of was "drinking" but since that's what some people do when they are celebrating it wasn't very descriptive so I Googled it. One site said "Mourn", but I didn't mean "not celebrate" to that extreme. Another site said "disregard, forget, ignore, neglect, overlook". That's not quite it either. Those words imply that you have something to celebrate but you don't. I mean what word do you use when you don't see anything to celebrate.
Anyway, the small joy today is that Indiana has risen above the freezing mark on the thermometer. Not just warmer than 'freeze your ass off' degrees, but warmer than freezing, warmer than 40 degrees. WhooooHoooo! We're having a heat wave. And on a Saturday!
It's cloudy and overcast and depressing looking at 8:30 but still - it's not snowing and it's not freezing. A little sunshine wouldn't hurt, but you take what you get when it comes to weather. And celebrating.
